Caribbean beach, North coast, Tayrona National Park, Colombia

A couple of days totally chilling out in this wonderful area was just what was needed. Heading south after reaching our northern most point, Santa Marta,Colombia, ( our southern most point was Ushuaia, Argentina ) we struck camp right on the beach front. This region was once the territory of the Tayrona people whose ancient remains have been found within the park. There are fantastic walks through the forests to other beaches. We enjoyed our time here walking early in the morning along deserted beaches, swimming in the rough seas, and sitting around beach fires until the early hours staring at the night sky. What could be better than that ?

1. At last the Caribbean Coast.
2. Ithaca negotiating he soft sand
3. The beautiful coastline
4. Tents up
5. The view from my tent
6-9. Pictures early morning along this rough stretch of coast.
10. Geoff contemplating
11. Geoff and Vanessa morning conversations
12-17. Some great shots of trunks and bamboo roots washed ashore.
18. The three of us
19. Keeping the blog updated
20. Beach scene
21. Kirsten in her office, keeping the business running
22-23. Time we were leaving, sand mats in place, we slowly manoeuvred our way out onto the next adventure.

We now head south to Cartagena.

Adios
