Diving the "Albatross " and Sea Lions

Up at 5.30 am quick bite and to Lobo Larson Dive company where kitted up ready for the morning dive on the "Albatross " a wreck sunk several years ago to provide an artificial reef at 25 metres depth. Fairly clear waters, however rich in various kelps, planktons etc making it hazy. Dropped on the shot line and descended to the wreck which looked impressive and was covered with sea anemones, barnacles and loads of fish. Steady dive around and inside the wreck. Pretty cold at 13 degrees but managed 35 minutes.
Photography was challenging but had a couple of results.

Going down the shot line.

Loads of fish around wreck, viz not great.

Divers disappearing into the haze.

Sea lions approaching on the second dive.

Inquisitive little pup.

Another one of the 30 or so shots taken.

What a great mornings diving. The second area near this sea lion colony was fantastic. The more you used your fins the more sea lions came to you within inches of you, very gently nibbling at your fins. Incredibly playful animals.
Superb, now back to base ready for the next leg.
Hasta la Vista.
