Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, Duty Free spectacular.

Headed out across the border for a flying visit to Paraguay the town of Ciudad del Este to hit the massive duty free electronic shops. Have included a small blog showing the very affluent surrounded by the very poor and down and outs. Before departing we are warned to take only that which you are prepared to lose by way of robbery or pickpockets. It was quite an eye opener and an enjoyable few hours wandering first the superstores then the street markets which were heaving with everything you could imagine. You were stopped every few feet with stall holders tempting you with their wares from memory sticks containing all manner of items, electrical goods, plant machinery and heavy duty blankets.....do I look like I needed a blanket, it's 40 odd degrees ! We returned in tact having had another good day.
